Synopsis

Teaching oral productions is challenging, but sometimes less rewarding, depending on the circumstances in the classroom. Students' ability and willingness to participate in speaking classes may vary for a number of reasons. Therefore, it is the teacher's responsibility to manage the class in such a way that students are encouraged to participate in class activities.

Nowadays, English language teaching (ELT) tends to maximise the use of technology to set better activities and achieve higher speaking proficiency of the students. One of the technologies used is video, which students are familiar with in their daily activities. Videos allow students to observe verbal and non-verbal language so that they can also learn about the cultures of the speakers. Videos generally provide authentic, contextual, and meaningful activities. For these reasons, this book has been written and published to provide additional views on oral productions in the classroom.

The authors hope that this book will be useful not only to students and teachers, but also to all those involved in English language teaching.
